July 17, 21, 24 and 25 – Shakespeare in the park Festival at Veteran’s Memorial Park in McHenry
Riverview Theatre Company’s Shakespeare in the Park Festival and Play is in its third year. They present a daylong festival of Shakespeare skits and scenes (mixed in with songs, dances, demonstrations of stage combat, even a “mini-Globe Theatre” puppet stage!) and then end with a full-length play that evening. The Festival is one day, however the main-stage play has a run of about four nights.
