Bark For A Cure Dog Walk a HUGE Success!

Dogs and their owners participate in the 2nd Annual Bark for a Cure Dog Walk. (Photo provided)

Last Saturday we participated in the 2nd Annual Bark for a Cure Dog Walk for the Pink Ribbon Angels Avon Walk Team to benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

It was a beautiful day, and we had a great turnout with more than 75 dogs again this year! There were several raffle and silent auction items, and altogether the Pink Ribbon Angels raised more than $6,000 that will go directly to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer!

Camp Bow Wow sold our “Barking for Boobs” T-shirts again this year and has donated a total of $1,000 in the last two years from the proceeds of the T-shirts! We also donated a seven-night boarding stay, a weekend getaway three-night boarding stay and one week of day care.

Doug’s couch also was there, nicknamed “Doug’s Couch for Cleavage” that day, to support the cause by having people donate to have their picture taken on the couch with their dog! Check out www.dougscouch.com for all the details.

Thank you to all who attended the walk and brought donations for this very important cause. Everyone had a woof-tastic time. For pictures of the walk, check out our gallery at www.cbwmchenry.com.

Have a Dog Gone Great Day!
