We Raised $5,000 for Helping Paws!

Thank you so much to everyone who attended and donated to our first Annual Spay-Ghetti and No Balls Fundraiser Dinner.

Everyone had a Dog Gone Great Time and for a great cause — Helping Paws Animal Shelter in Woodstock. We raised $5,000 at the dinner — WOW!

We had 200 people attend the dinner catered by Jimano’s Pizzeria in McHenry. They did an absolutely awesome job! The food was great, although the event itself was “neutered,” as we ran out of meatballs for a short time! Thank you to Jimano’s for the wonderful donation made with providing the food.

We had many nice silent auction and raffle items that raised quite a bit of money. So many of our clients donated really nice items, as well as several local businesses. Thank you to Mary Brennan, Lilly’s mom, for running the silent auction for us.

We also had doggy blankets made and donated by one of my clients, Kirsten Gentry, mom of Memphis, Ricky and Lucy. She donated everything, so 100 percent of the proceeds will go to Helping Paws.

John Mikeska, Bella’s dad, also donated his sound system and time to provide us with music for the event. Cody, Saber’s brother, along with his mom, Carolyn, helped us with serving drinks for the evening.

Kim Dunlap from Kimberose designed and donated the flower arrangements for our tables, adding that little bit of class to the event. Peter “the Printer” Lineal from Plum Grove Printers donated the placemats we created with local businesses as sponsors. Thanks to all those who sponsored the event!

The Young Professionals of McHenry were there to join in the fun and help serve food for everyone. Thank you for your help and support, guys! I really appreciate it!

A special thanks to all the Helping Paws volunteers who helped make this event a success. They collected several of the raffle and silent auction donations. They also sold many tickets for the event, as well as helped us pull everything together at the event!

And finally, to my wolf pack, my Camp Bow Wow staff. I love you guys. I couldn’t have done this event without help from all of you. We have such an awesome team of people — loving the dogs AND the clients, and always having a Dog Gone Good Time doing it. You guys are amazing — words can’t describe how proud I am of all of you!

What a great event and what great fun had by all! We are so thrilled with the donation of $5,000 to Helping Paws. A huge thank you to everyone!

Have a Dog Gone Great Day!
