Last month, Shaw Suburban Media, launched a new Web site, Plan!t Northwest, which is your guide to family, nightlife and recreation events as well as the best shopping and dining deals in McHenry County. McHenry County Magazine spoke with Plan!t Guide Jessica Jacobsen to learn more about the Web site and how it can help you.
MCM: What is Plan!t Northwest?
Jacobsen: Plan!t Northwest is an events and entertainment Web site for McHenry County. It has a calendar of events that helps you plan your weekends and anything else you want to do in your free time. Plan!t Northwest also has great dining and shopping sections that have coupons and discounted gift certificates to local businesses.
MCM: Who can benefit from using Plan!t Northwest?
Jacobsen: Everyone. Plan!t Northwest has events for everyone from children to adults. Whether you want to see what’s going on at your local library or are looking to catch a show at one of the local taverns, Plan!t Northwest has something for you.
MCM: How can Plan!t Northwest help people save time and money?
Jacobsen: Saving time and money are one of the best parts about Plan!t Northwest. The calendar of events has everything in one spot so you don’t have to bounce from Web site to Web site. And the shopping and dining sections have businesses listed in categories, so if you are looking for dining the restaurants are all listed right there. Jacobsen: I update the calendar of events every day! Plan!t Northwest also is adding new businesses to the site regularly, and when they are added I let you know through Twitter and Facebook.
